Domestic & Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) Connah's Quay
We provide EPCs in Connah's Quay and across Flintshire for both Domestic and Commercial properties. A valid EPC is required to be in place before the sale or rental of your property. The EPC survey itself is entirely non intrusive and won't damage the building in any way. Once the survey is complete the EPC report will be produced, which gives the building an Energy Performance Rating rating on a scale from A to G.
For most rental properties an EPC rating of E or better is required, in compliance with the Minimum Energy Efficiency (MEES) legislations of 2018. For properties for sale, MEES legislation does not yet apply, however an ever increasing number of financial institutions require properties to demonstrate they would be MEES compliant before agreeing mortgage funding.
Commercial EPCs UK wide have an average rating of D 77, and domestic EPCs have an average rating of D 67. For comparison the average Commercial EPC rating in Flintshire is C 72 and for Domestic EPCs is D 68. To split this out further, Domestic rental properties in Flintshire have an average EPC rating of D 65, owner occupied properties have an average rating of D 65 and social housing averages C 72. Of all the domestic EPCs completed to date in the Flintshire area, 65.3% are for owner occupied properties 14.5% for rental and 20.2% for social housing.
These statistics are based on analysis of the 64,654 Domestic EPCs lodged for the Flintshire area in the publicly available government data set. Average values are the median values from the data source.
