EPC Holiday Let | Easy EPC
An EPC is needed for all holiday let homes as of 30th June 2011. Holiday let properties will be legally required to have an Energy Performance Certificate in place before they are rented out.
This EU EPC legislation will apply to all holiday let properties that are occupied for a total of 4 months or more per year. Mobile homes, static caravans and holiday let properties occupied for less than 4 months of the year will remain exempt.
Under the legislation non exempt holiday let properties that fail to comply are liable to be prosecuted by Trading Standards, with a potential fine of £200 for each tenant that has rented the property during the period of non compliance.
